LVL Works is a Southern California building envelope solutions provider helping builders, developers, architects, and construction teams build faster, safer, and more resilient structures through advanced building systems.
We work with our clients to understand the specific challenges of a project and identify building-envelope solutions that can improve construction efficiency, reduce risk, simplify installation, and deliver better long-term building performance.
Our focus is not simply supplying building materials. We help construction teams evaluate and implement better ways to build.
At LVL Works, we proudly represent ZS2 Technologies’ innovative building systems, designed to bring greater performance, resilience, and efficiency to modern construction. ZS2’s magnesium-based products offer a new approach to building that addresses many of the challenges facing today’s construction industry.
With exceptional fire and moisture resistance, these systems are built to provide greater protection and long-term durability. Their simple, efficient assembly can help reduce construction time and labor costs while potentially lowering insurance costs through improved building resilience.

Louis has spent over a decade working closely with clients to get complex projects across the finish line, and at LVL Works he partners with builders, developers, and architects to identify building-envelope solutions that solve the problems they're actually facing. For Louis, it starts with the relationship: understanding what a client is building, where the project is getting stuck, and where a better approach could improve efficiency or reduce costs.
LVL Works works alongside builders and project teams from early project evaluation through installation.
Our role can include:
The goal is to provide a more integrated approach to the building envelope—one that can reduce complexity while improving schedule certainty, resilience, energy performance, and overall project efficiency.
Every project is different. Rather than approaching builders with a predetermined product, we start by understanding the project and the problems the construction team is trying to solve.
Those needs may include:
Fire Resilience
Creating more resilient building envelopes for projects in wildfire-prone and other high-risk environments.
Speed of Construction
Using prefabrication and panelization to shorten the time required to enclose a structure.
Labor Efficiency
Reducing the number of individual construction steps and trades required to complete portions of the building envelope.
Energy Performance
Creating high-performance envelope assemblies designed to improve insulation, airtightness, and thermal performance.
Durability
Using advanced materials designed to withstand moisture, mold, fire, and challenging environmental conditions.
Cost & Schedule Certainty
Moving more of the construction process into a controlled manufacturing environment and reducing variables encountered in traditional field construction.
LVL Works works with advanced construction technologies that can provide alternatives to conventional building-envelope assemblies.
Our primary technology partner is ZS2 Technologies, a North American building-material technology and manufacturing company specializing in magnesium cement materials and prefabricated building systems.
ZS2's TechPanel® system integrates structural framing, insulation, and magnesium cement sheathing into a manufactured panelized assembly that can be used for walls, roofs, floors, and other portions of the structural building envelope.
Projects are evaluated using the project's existing architectural and structural plans. Designs can then be optimized and translated into project-specific panel layouts before manufacturing. Panels arrive at the job site mapped and sequenced for installation, with technical and installation support available throughout the process.
ZS2 technologies have been used in residential, multifamily, commercial, industrial, agricultural, and wildfire-rebuild projects across North America.
LVL Works is particularly interested in working with:
A conversation with LVL Works does not need to begin with a commitment to a particular building system. It can begin with a project. Tell us what you're building and what you're trying to solve.
If we believe one of our building-envelope solutions could meaningfully improve the project, we can bring in the appropriate technical resources, evaluate the plans, and determine whether the system makes sense.
If it does, we can move into a more detailed technical and project evaluation.
LVL Works brings advanced building-envelope technology into real-world construction.
We help builders and developers evaluate and implement high-performance building systems that can make projects faster, safer, more resilient, and easier to build.
Better building-envelope solutions. Better ways to build.
We are not trying to replace the builder. We are trying to make the builder's job easier.
LVL Works serves as the local connection between innovative building technology and the people actually responsible for delivering projects.
That means understanding the realities of the job site—not simply presenting a new material and expecting the builder to figure out how to use it.
We want to understand:
Only then do we determine whether one of our building systems is appropriate.
Have a project in mind or looking for a better way to approach your building envelope? Contact LVL Works to discuss your project, explore potential solutions, and see how advanced building systems can help you build faster, safer, and more efficiently.
